Physiotherapy
Many shoulder problems can be treated with physical therapy, ice, rehabilitation and mobilization, some conditions, for example, tendon or instability tears, may require arthroscopic surgery.
Arthroscopic surgery
Many shoulder conditions are now amenable to arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, such as subacromial decompression, rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilisation. Elbow arthroscopy may be helpful in diagnosis or treatment of loose bodies within the joint.
Surgery for fractures around the shoulder
The Consultant Surgeons at London Shoulder and Elbow have extensive experience in dealing with shoulder and elbow trauma and fractures around the shoulder and elbow.
Joint replacement.
Both the shoulder and elbow joints may be replaced with prosthetic implants for arthritis or trauma.
